Imagine if you could, once and for all, put to rest anything from the past that continues to affect you today. Step back and look at your emotional canvas. It has a neutral, calm quality. This is who I am today thanks to kinesiology and later I will share my experience to show what is possible for you. My passion now is to let people know what kinesiology is and to make it available to everyone.
So what is it? Chiropractor George Goodheart D.C. discovered one of the most accurate biofeedback tools known today: muscle testing. Millions of people around the world routinely use muscle testing to ask the body how it feels about things. There is no need to guess anymore. All we do now is call on the body’s innate wisdom to show where stress is held and then ask how it needs to be cleared.
I like to think of kinesiology as a translator between you and the issues that are causing you stress. Each kinesiology session brings with it a deeper understanding of why you feel the way you do. For some, it’s a long overdue conversation where life begins to make perfect sense. Many of my clients say the sessions put into words what has been felt for a long time but could not be expressed. There are many ‘aha’ moments in kinesiology.
The causes of dis-ease and stress are complex, just like us. Fortunately, the body naturally wants to heal and has its own wisdom on what should be done and when. Kinesiology works with the body in its quest to heal. Many clients report a deep sense of relief coming from the body after kinesiology as if, finally, it is being heard for the first time.
Lisa (Name has been changed) is 27 years old. She had chronic stomach pains for 12 months. Her digestion was poor and she was 15 kilograms overweight. In the past 6 months she began to experience anxiety attacks and was leaving her house less and less. Her energy levels were low. She felt unhappy most of the time and could not remember the last time she slept through the night.
While Lisa’s symptoms were very much physical, I asked her body to show me where to start, which was ‘emotional’ then ‘nutritional’. Kinesiology directs you to the cause of stress. The physical symptoms were simply expressions of a deeper emotional issue.
Our sessions quickly cleared some long held negative beliefs Lisa had about her self esteem and what she could expect from life. The body also asked for supplements to help her body heal.
Lisa reported, with delight, that with each session her symptoms had either eased or completely cleared. Lisa also began to lose weight spontaneously. She also said that her relationship with herself had improved dramatically and she felt ‘she was on her side’ for the first time.
Kinesiology follows a triangle of health model. Our best chance of health and wellbeing is when our physical, emotional and biochemical aspects are balanced in relation to each other. In Lisa’s case emotional stress was causing her stomach pain. Poor nutrition was affecting her emotions and ability to heal, such as B vitamins for stress. Lisa’s physical pain upset her, starting the cycle again. This model is great to work with as it shows what causes illness and what is needed to restore health.
My focus is the relationship you have with yourself. I described earlier who I have become through kinesiology. Who I was before will show you just how much I have changed. For most of my life I was emotionally numb. I was always tired and short tempered. I chain smoked and drank too much. I was defensive and pessimistic. I did not like myself. I would not let anyone close to me. I should also say that while all this was happening I looked successful and outgoing. Everyone thought I led a fabulous life. I became exhausted pretending everything was ok.
With kinesiology I was finally able to let go of painful memories that I never could before. I noticed my self talk began to change. Before, there was a constant argument going on in my mind. This weakened my emotions and my body. I began to understand why I was sick all the time. Since then my mind feels uncluttered and my conversation with myself is supportive. I cannot recall the last time I had a critical thought but I do remember how noisy and distracting it was.
Kinesiology was also the first time I could access and change my beliefs. ‘I am not good enough’ was taken out of my system along with many others. With every belief change, I noticed negative behaviours literally fall away. I began to understand how beliefs shape your life. The most important element for me was kinesiology’s ability to access the subconscious mind. This is where the beliefs that truly shape your life are kept. Once these change, everything in your world changes.
The versatility of kinesiology has made it a popular tool around the world. Interesting story Nada. I’m interested in hearing more on the results Lisa had improving her sleep. While I sleep like a baby, I know many people who could use a better nights sleep!
