In this day and age of ultrasonic diagnosis and nuclear medicines, laser surgery ect ect people are wanting to take charge for their own health the demand of massage has increased to fulfil this need. Massage is a very important modality to help keep our bodies and minds at ease. Massage alone is not enough to preserve good health, but in conjunction with regular exercise, good eating habits and a work life balance it plays a very important part in our lives.

Acknowledging the importance of massage and the benefits it delivers to our body and mind. Most people would know that a massage makes you feel good, but they probably do not realise that a massage can improve their performance, aid recovery, reduce stress help to prevent injuries even enhances circulation. To some people massage might look like a lot of kneading of the skin, however a massage is actually a scientific process, massage can increase blood and lymph circulation,

For example: an active person such as a runner has a better lymph flow then an inactive person, stimulation from vigorous activity can lead to increased waste, this may have a bad effect on his or her performance, this is where massage has a huge benefit. Massage plays a huge part in every type of sport, it can increase endurance.

Massage can treat frozen shoulders, sprains & strains & tears, shin splints, headaches and many more sport related injuries. Your whole body system runs more efficiently when you are energised, the more massage you receive the more supple and relaxed your muscles becomes. Overall Massage reduces stress, improves mental response and alertness, and assists the immune system.
