The gold in one’s heart is far more precious than the gold in one’s purse - Confucious -

Feng Shui has the capacity to help an individual tap into a state of synchronicity whereby they are more likely to be in the right place at the right time as opportunity presents itself. This is achieved primarily with the use of Xuan Kong Fei Xing/Flying Star Feng Shui, in which one assesses the quality of chi (energy) affecting a particular space (ie the precise compass orientation and surrounding landform of your home) during a particular period in time (ie in conjunction…

Feng Shui – New Age Versus Current Age

  • April 08, 2008 5:38pm

These days, the term feng shui usually evokes vague images of oriental new-age looking trinkets, a simplified map of life aspiration corners and lots of positive energy wrapped in lucky red envelopes.

The new age approach to feng shui is a feel-good way to inspire positive thoughts and intentions, thus appealing to an individual’s ‘Mankind Luck’ (ie the luck you make for yourself via personal choice and attitude). New Age feng shui encompasses the use of a Bagwa Map which has set life aspiration corners depending on where the doorway into a house or room is located, or a simplified…

It’s a Cubicle Thing

I had a call one day from a very nice young gentleman who seemed almost hesitant to tell me what was on his mind. Only after much persuading did he explain that he had read an article about me in a local daily and was contemplating seeking my advice but was afraid that my charges would not be affordable for a wage earner like him. Is there a special Feng Shui formula to make someone Wealthy overnight?

As absurd as it may seem, some people think this is how it is. Or this is what they have been sold on when engaging a Feng Shui practitioner or when they read books on Feng Shui. It simply does not exist.

So, where then did this…

Lately, Feng Shui has become more and more a common term in everyday life. Almost everyone has heard of about Feng Shui or knows someone who has applied Feng Shui for their property. Needless to say, a lack of education coupled with this meteoric rise in interest has led to lots of misleading information and a great sense of fear in many people who are unsure what to do.

I get a flurry of e-mails from many such people, all in a state of panic or constant worry over something they have heard or have been told by a…

Most of us have a sense of place. Almost everyone has at some time, entered a garden, building or room and felt something tangible yet inexplicable: a feeling of joy, happiness, peace, sadness, maybe even of malevolence. Whatever it was, we knew it was definitely associated with the place we were in. If you are reading this article it’s possible you already have a heightened awareness of place, and at times have sensed the energies and character present in a location. It’s not an unusual phenomenon. In the West people often talk about a place having good or bad “vibes”.…
