Aortic Stenosis

Aortic Stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic valve. This condition causes the heart to work harder than it normally has to in order to maintain circulation and can lead to a thickening of the left ventricle wall. Symptoms include breathlessness, fainting, heart palpitations, chest pains, and fatigue. It may be caused by conditions such as valve abnormalities, calcium deposits, rheumatic heart disease and congenital heart disease. Treatment includes medication, quitting smoking, surgery, homoeopathy, and nutrition therapy.
