Bed Wetting

Bed wetting is also called enuresis and it is involuntary urination when one is asleep. Bed wetting commonly affects children, and often stops on its own after a period of time. It may be caused by a physically or neurologically immature bladder or by children sleeping so deeply that they are not aware of the message that the bladder sends to the brain saying that it is full and needs to be emptied. It can also occur during stressful periods. Treatment includes medications, retention control training, night-lifting (waking the child periodically), hypnosis, massage, acupressure, reflexology and homoeopathy.
