Blepharospasm

Blepharospasm is an eyelid spasm, causing involuntary and increased blinking. Symptoms include occasional involuntary blinking, winking, and squinting of one or both eyes. It may be difficult to keep the eye open and a person may be sensitive to light. As the condition worsens, the spasms become more frequent and severe. Treatments for blepharospasm include medication, biofeedback, hypnosis, surgery, botox injections, and acupuncture.
