Hormonal Disturbances

Hormones are chemicals that deliver messages to all areas of the body and coordinate processes such as growth, metabolism and fertility. They also help the body to deal with stress. If the hormonal process is disturbed, conditions such as infertility, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome may result. Treatment includes the usage of synthetic hormones, lifestyle and dietary changes, herbal medicine, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, and acupuncture.
