Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is the inflammation of the pancreas. It is caused by gallstones, alcohol abuse, or viruses. Symptoms of pancreatitis include abdominal pain, jaundice, nausea, constipation, fever, and intolerance of fatty foods. Treatment options include supportive treatment in the hospital to allow the pancreas to heal, stopping drinking alcohol, medication where required, and surgery where required. In conjunction with these treatments, there is also the option of acupuncture and relaxation techniques.
