Shinpiden
Shinpiden is the level for the Master/Teacher (or Sensei) in Japanese Traditional Reiki. As well as thorough teacher training, the student will learn the attunement process for each level, how to teach each level, and the Shinpiden techniques. Acceptance is by interview.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a natural healing system developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the 19th and early 20th century. (Photo of Dr. Mikao Usui on the right, fourth from the top)
Reiki is universal life energy in its purest form. (In China and Japan Life energy or Life force is known as Chi or Ki respectively.)
Hands on energy transfer with Reiki is gentle but powerful, helping the body's natural healing process, releasing stress, boosting resistance to illness, and restoring the natural energy of the body. Reiki is truly holistic and benefits not just the physical body but the mind, emotions and spiritual aspects as well.
It is safe for all including the elderly, in pregnancy, and for babies and children. It can be used for self treatment as often as preferred.
No previous experience is necessary to learn Reiki Level I.
Cancer patients and those suffering serious illness or injury may experience an improved quality of life, benefiting them by promoting a more restful sleep, reduction in pain, and alleviating the effects of treatment.
Styles of Reiki
There are many Reiki forms, the two that I teach are Western Usui Reiki - Usui Shiki Ryoho, and Japanese Traditional Reiki - Usui Reiki Ryoho
Western Reiki
This style originated with Dr. Usui and was brought to the West by Mrs. Hawayo Takata, and is authentic. My Western Reiki lineage can be traced back to Dr. Usui.
Japanese Traditional Reiki
This style includes many Japanese techniques not included in the Western form and my lineage in this method can also be traced directly back to Usui Sensei.
Both lineages are equally beneficial, the Western style is somewhat simpler and requires less learning, however the attunements for both styles will align you to the healing energy of Reiki, regardless of which style you choose.
