PROFILE
Rene’, is an ex-professional athlete in Ice Speed Skating from Germany, and has worked in Remedial Massage Therapy and Healing since 1993. From being an athlete he realized the benefits of massage and upon his retirement he decided to study and qualify as a massage therapist in Mainz, Germany. He was introduced in 1995 to Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel (APM) through a Naturopath in Germany and then successfully obtained his qualifications in APM in 1996.
After immigrating to Australia in 1997, Rene’ established a full-time clinic in Sydney where APM is his main technique used on his patients with great results. In 2005, he traveled to Germany to complete his teaching qualifications and license from the International College of Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel, Heyen, Germany.
Rene is a member of AMT- Association of Massage Therapists Ltd, and the Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel course is accredited through AMT.

INTRODUCTION
This technique was developed in Germany in the 1950’s/ 60’s by Willy Penzel, and is one of the oldest European Meridian therapies with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture. In 1983, the International Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel College was built; in Heyen, Germany. This technique is now taught in many countries throughout Europe and other countries around the world, and it has now been brought to Australia and New Zealand by Mr Rene’ Goschnik.
AKUPUNKT-MASSAGE (APM) is a technique that uses a combination of massage and acupuncture on the body, by using a specialised metal pen instead of needles. The pen is used to balance the body’s energy flow, through the vessels called meridians and their related acupuncture points. By balancing and transferring energy we encourage the body to self-heal. This technique is aimed to clear up the cause of an ailment, rather then symptoms. A remarkable part of this technique improves and can heal back problems; migraines; female related ailments; stress related symptoms and much more.
COURSE DETAILS
This diploma course consists of 4 separate courses – A, B, C, D, beginning with the A course. It is then recommended that the technique be used in your clinic for 6 -12 months before enrolling into the B course. The same applies for the C and D course with both theory and practical examinations as part of the final D course. The courses are 50% theory and 50% practical.

Course A – 5 day intensive hands on training
Course B - 4 day intensive hands on training
Course C - 4 day intensive hands on training
Course D - 5 day intensive hands on training and final examinations
