Skewes Therapy Consultancy offers a tranquil atmosphere for counselling, workshops and courses. Situated centrally to the City of Ballarat, close to the major bus route and five minutes drive from the Town Hall.
Jenni Skewes has over 30 years experience working in many areas of mental health, originally coming from a background of psychiatric nursing.
She is very versatile in her approach to counselling, being open to supporting any one who walks through her door, who genuinely wants to work towards creating new possibilities in some area of their life. In a totally non-judgmental atmosphere, Jenni assists the person to recognise their skills and strengths, looking at how these can be implemented for creating a change, reach goals and ultimately enjoy a more fulfiling future. She is able to offer a range of techniques, catering very much for one’s individuality.
Jenni also offers a range in training with workshops suitable for organisations and tertiary education as well as being licensed to run Ampersand Australia’s Solution Oriented counselling courses.

A free 10-minute consultation is offered on original phone enquiry. Further phone consultations incur a fee per ten minutes.
Please note, cancellations of less than 12-hours notice will incur a $20 cancellation fee per hour booked.
Jenni is a registered Psychiatric Nurse (Div. 3) and General Nurse (Div. 1) with a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma of Community Health Nursing, Diploma of Solution Oriented Hypnosis, Advanced Diploma of Counselling Psychology and Cert. IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
Jenni is both a Member and Past President of ASOCHA (Association of Solution Oriented Counsellors and Hypnotherapists of Australia), which is a constituent member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia). She is an ASOCHA Representative for PACFA and an active member of the PACFA Sections Task Force. Jenni is also a member of ACMHN (the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses).
