About Kerry Lynne Gilby
My name is Kerry Lynne Gilby, I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and I would like to introduce myself to you. My training formally began as a Clinical Hypnotherapist in 1997 and concluded it’s first stage in 1998, at The Australian College of Clinical Hypnotherapy in Frankston, Victoria where I studied with the Rt. Rev’d. Dr. Fu Yuese.
After being accepted as an affiliate member of the Australian The Australian College of Clinical Hypnotherapists and the Australian Hypnotherapists’ Association, I attended the Academy of Esoteric Sciences in N.S.W. and studied with Dr. James McGarry, where I gained my Diploma of Esoteric Hypnotherapy. This diploma is fully accredited by The Society of Psychic Healers and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
I work with all substance abuse, stress management, phobias, compulsive behaviour and anxiety disorders. I also teach the training methods used for relaxation and self-hypnosis and address groups that would like to acquaint their members with any of the fields that I cover in my practice.
Hypnosis is using the mind to facilitate healing and change and I am most willing to answer any questions you may have. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how hypnotherapy can help individuals to work through any problems and allow them to reach their full potential.
Let me encourage you to investigate the scientific and medical basis and use of hypnotherapy, a healing art that empowers the individual to do their own healing.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a completely natural state of very deep relaxation of the body and total concentration of the mind. The client’s focus is turned inward, yet they are aware of everything around them and remain in control at all times.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. If you wish to be hypnotised you can be, but no-one can be hypnotised against their will.
By practicing self-hypnosis, a person is able to use the energy of hypnosis constantly for dissolving anxiety and stress, developing personal qualities and improving health by stimulating the immune system.
Inappropriate self held beliefs can be modified using hypnotherapy and the client can free themselves from the power of outdated negative suggestions and harmful habits.
The health of our self belief system affects every aspect of our lives.
What does hypnosis treat?
Treatment can be divided into four groups:
Compulsive behaviour and habits.
Nervous and neurosis problems.
Ego associated problems.
Problems of the physical body.
I am most willing to answer any questions that you may have concerning the use and application of hypnosis. Please feel that you can ring and ask how hypnosis can help you to take control of your life by using the power of your own mind.
