 | Stewart Ogston BSc, BSc(Hons)(Anat), BPod, Grad.Dip.Ed, MAPodA
With a background in anatomy & education, Stewart began his podiatry career in 1999. He has a passion for orthotics & biomechanics and is highly skilled in orthotic manufacture. Stewart continues to research foot biomechanics and the implications for orthotic therapy. Stewart has a background in middle & distance running and triathlons. He enjoys skating and is a coach (level 2) in middle to long distance running. |
 | Doris Trueman B.Sc(Hons)(Pod), MAPodA
Doris has been practicing podiatry on the North West Coast since 1992. Previously, she was a teacher of physical education. She is recognised as a world champion skier and Australian champion triathlete. Throughout the 1980s she competed as an elite athlete in Europe. Doris has an interest in orthotic manufacture & experimentation in addition to being experienced in all areas of podiatry. |
 | Cath Simpson BAppSc (Pod)
Having graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 1998, Cath moved from Brisbane to Burnie and worked for the North West Department of Community Health in 1999, working closely with the nationally accredited Diabetes Centre on the North West Coast. Cath joined Doris at North West Podiatry in 2002.
Cath has an interest in art and enjoys cycling in her recreational time. As well as being skilled in biomechanics & orthotic prescription, she enjoys nail surgery and diabetes footcare. |
 | Nicola Varney B.Sc (Hons)(Pod)
Nicola trained as a podiatrist in England, graduating in 1993. She worked for the Royal London Hospital before working at North West Podiatry in 1999 – 2000. Upon her return to England, she worked for the National Health Service in East Kent and Norwich.
She has since returned with her husband, Julian, and her growing family to settle in Burnie. Nicola has experience in all areas of podiatric care. |
 | Julian Varney B.Sc (Hons)(Pod)
Julian began working for North West Podiatry in 2006. He previously managed Podiatry departments in the North West Regional Community Health Service and Norwich Health Services, England. Having completed his podiatry studies in 1993, he has completed a post-graduate certificate in sports podiatry, electro surgery and has extensive knowledge in diabetes foot care.
Upon returning to Burnie, Julian has trained for and completed the Skilled Burnie Ten and enjoys cycling, cricket & touch football. |
