GETTING STARTED
An initial one on one consultation is a pre-requisite to undertake a specialised Pilates program.
Instructors supervise small groups of approximately 3 - 4 clients as they work through their individualised programs. We continually modify programs to maximise benefits.

About Us
DONNA OLIVER - APMA PRESIDENT
Donna trained in classical ballet with The Australia Ballet School, Melbourne where she was first exposed to Pilates Method in the early 1980’s. Since that time, Donna has worked with many of the pioneers of Pilates in Australia and around the world. In 1996 she co-founded the Bulli Physiotherapy and Pilates Centre (the first Pilates centre in the Illawarra) and worked with acute and chronically injured spinal patients as well as pre and post surgical clients with musculo-skeletal rehabilitative needs. Donna has completed the Graduate Certification in Pilates Method at the University of Technology Sydney where she now lectures future graduates.
In addition to her role as co-director of the Wollongong Pilates Studio, Donna is the current president of the Australian Pilates Method Association, a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science and a registered teacher of The Royal Academy of Dance, London. She passionately continues to extend her knowledge base of exercise science, injury rehabilitation and safe dance techniques and enjoys drawing on her extensive experience to provide safe, effective and functional exercise to clients of the Pilates Method.
SHELLY HARPER - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Shelly graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Wollongong University in 1998, and is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with AAESS, the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science. In 2003 Shelly completed the Graduate Certificate in the Pilates Method at UTS becoming a level 1 Pilates Instructor with the Australian Pilates Method Association. Shelly was introduced to the Pilates Method in 2001 working with chronically injured clientele and instructing group Pilates classes around Wollongong. She has also conducted corporate Pilates classes and educational seminars in manual handling.
In 2004 Shelly accepted the opportunity to become a co-director of Wollongong Pilates Studio and has since devoted her time to providing the best service she can to her clientele. She loves the Pilates Method as a sensible way to exercise that is enjoyable and improves your body’s ability to cope with all of life’s demands.
