Welcome to Pulse
For Health & Rehabilitation

At Pulse we apply the knowledge of traditional healthcare with modern practice and research, to the disorders of today’s lifestyle, within a contemporary environment. We emphasise education, prevention and treatment through natural healthcare.

We do this through:

  • Remedial massage and Oriental bodywork
  • Acupuncture
  • Chinese herbal medicine
  • Diet therapy
  • Other allied health

Our practitioners are all qualified and experienced, and are committed to ongoing learning to deliver you a service based on up-to-date research and practice. We aim not only to provide you treatment of disease and disorder, but are happy to empower you with an understanding of your own health and its maintenance, for prevention and recurrence of illness. We work in cooperation with other medical and allied health practitioners, to ensure you complete care, even after leaving the clinic.

Pulse is committed to providing you with a quality system of healthcare in an environment that is professional, yet easily approachable and immediately comfortable.

We specialize in massage, acupuncture and bodywork for the treatment of pain, muscular injury and tension and herbal medicine for women’s and men’s health, digestive disorders, insomnia and stress management, and more.

Pulse is based in Melbourne, Australia, a multicultural epicenter already experiencing benefits of an eastern and western meld. We endeavor to provide complete healthcare to the greater community, through education and empathy, in an approachable environment.

    TCM origins and philosophy

Although it seems relatively new to western society, Chinese medicine has been used for over 2000 years, and is used alongside modern medicine in the primary healthcare system in China, and now also in Australia. The same principles are applied when diagnosing, and the same acupuncture points and herbs are used today, as those taught centuries ago. Recently, development and research has been great, and has only benefited this ancient medicine it its application for a modern lifestyle.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is based on the idea that the whole body should be in balance to be functioning at its optimum. This idea of yin yang balance is used, along with the understanding that in treating a patient, the practitioner should consider the whole; the symptom, the cause of the symptom, and its effect on the rest of the body. TCM recognises that health is much more than just the absence of disease.
