Why choose Muscle Pain Therapy?
You will become accustomed to a professional, friendly and goal orientated treatment aimed at eliminating the factors involved in causing and prolonging your discomfort.

Craig Murchie is the sole therapist and business owner, taking pride and responsibility in the quality of therapy provided.

The goal is simple: to assess and treat what is causing your discomfort and leave you feeling great...... and keep it that way!

Your Therapist - Craig Murchie

Craig is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and registered member of the AAMT (Australian Association of Massage Therapists).

Craig has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has been practising for over 6 years as a qualified therapist and worked as a lecturer in remedial therapies for more than 2 years. In 2006 he presented a lecture on muscles and stretching at Filex in Sydney (one of Australia’s largest fitness and health conventions).

Over the years he has worked with elite level athletes such as professional cyclists, body builders and tennis players - not to mention the hundreds of office workers with back and neck problems (you know who you are).

Craig is trained in, and has trained others in, the following proven remedial techniques:

- Sports & deep tissue Massage
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Myofascial Release
- Trigger Point Therapy
- Positional Release Technique
- Joint Mobilisation

What is Remedial Massage Therapy?
At Muscle Pain Therapy, remedial therapy is more than just a deep tissue massage. The main aim of remedial therapy is pain relief through correction of body function. The most effective way to achieving long term pain relief is by finding the cause and source of the pain and then treating that, not just the symptoms.

Remedial therapy utilises the healing properties of massage along with some very effective treatment techniques such as myofascial release, muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy and joint mobilisation. (Don’t worry if you don’t know what these techniques are.....that’s our job!)

Why have Remedial therapy?
Remedial therapy has been specifically developed to assess and treat muscle and joint problems that cause pain.

The assessment phase of a remedial treatment is crucial to ascertaining what may be causing your problems and to indicate where the ‘source’ of the problem is within the body.....as the source is not always simply where you feel the pain!

The aim of our remedial massage treatments is to help you with:
- Neck pain
- Headaches
- Lower back pain
- General muscle pain and joint stiffness
- Poor flexibility and limited movement
- Injury rehabilitation
- Chronic (long term) pain
- Athletic performance
- Pregnancy
