REGULAR MASSAGE
Stimulates the immune system to help the body cope with life’s stresses. This applies equally to sedentary and very active people. Furthermore it is a necessary ingredient in the training programs of athletes. My treatments are responsive to your requirements or problems from the lightest relaxation massage to therapeutic deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point therapy.
My aim is to support you in your quest to have a healthy life. Since all parts of the body are interconnected my treatments will always consider your whole body. This approach leads to myofascial and trigger point therapy followed by advice for simple everyday stretching programs. SEASONAL activities such as gardening, mowing, chopping wood tend to lead to sore muscles and extended periods of discomfort unless supported by massage and stretching.

SPORT AND STRESS
Having participated in many sports and still being an active competitor I understand the various training loads and injuries sports people encounter. As a recently retired secondary teacher I appreciate how tensions are manifested in students, teachers and parents and can help you prepare for and cope with stressful times. The Thai seated massage would be a good starting point for people who are hesitant about treatment on a massage table.
Young people especially need remedial massage to ensure that injuries and coping mechanisms don’t lead to disabilities or compensatory dysfunctions in later life. Preventative stretching programs are offered at each consultation.

Good health is essential for a productive workplace. I offer special ongoing support for groups or individuals in the work place. Starting with a 1/2 hour basic seated Thai Massage.Trigger points (small areas of permanent muscular contraction) are the scourge of office workers. I will help to prepare your team or individual and further assist in the recovery process from those special corporate activities. I supported an Emergency Services team during the 2008 OXFAM "walk". Treatments can be arranged at training venues or at the event at competitive rates.
