WHAT EXACTLY IS BOWEN THERAPY?
Bowen Therapy involves a series of rolling moves over muscles and connective tissue.
The moves are very gentle and can be performed through light clothing.
The moves send messages deep into the body, assisting the body to commence its own healing process.
There are frequent but essential pauses throughout each Bowen session that allow the body time to respond.
Each Bowen session takes approximately 45mins - 1 hour.
Most clients notice a feeling of deep relaxation during a Bowen treatment as the body enters an almost meditative state. Others express amazement that such a subtle and gentle treatment can have such a powerful effect, sometimes moving energy and shifting pain during the session.
Bowen Therapy is safe to use on anyone, from newborn babies to the frail and elderly.
Clients usually notice a significant difference after the first treatment.
Long standing problems may need 3 treatments initially.
ABOUT DEBBIE MORELL
Before entering the natural therapies field, Debbie worked as a primary and secondary school teacher.
Seeking a change in career, Debbie studied Bowen Therapy and Counselling and has been working as a practitioner since 1999.
Debbie takes a holistic approach to her work with clients and believes strongly in the connection between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of ourselves.
Debbie works at Macgregor in Brisbane, but will also make home or hospital visits to clients who may be unable to travel.
