Welcome to Trigger Point Clinic
The Manner of Treatment one would receive from me is mostly based on Trigger Point Release & Myofascial massage and stretching. This type of modality is based on Dr Janet Travell and Dr.David Simons work.
Deep Tissue, cross fibre, mobilisation are all incorporated within the treatment depending on the needs of the person, and within their tolerance of pain. The aim is to relieve the person of their problem, sooner rather than later.
As part of the treatment use of Dry Needling, Cupping, Tens machine and a new unit i now make use of, The TerraQuant may be used. TerraQuant, is based on Quantum Medicine. Quantum Medicine incorporates the therapeutic effects of different electromagnetic fields, including pulse laser radiance, broadband infrared radiance, visible red light and static magnetic field.
Initial consultation will include an assesment; patient should supply all relevant medical reports where available. Assessments are made at each session (at the start and finish of the treatment) to establish what progress has been made.
Corrective exercises and stretching are given to the patient to be done in their own time.
Where necessary and at the patient's request other health issues may be considered as in weight loss, exercise programs and life style. When if need arises the patient will be referred on to an appropriate Practitioner that may be better suited to treat their condition.
Other techniques practiced include reflexology, lymphatic drainage etc when required.
