AKUPUNKT-MASSAGE (APM) according to Penzel is a technique that uses a combination of massage and acupuncture on the body, by using a specialised metal pen instead of needles. The pen is used to balance the body’s energy flow, through the vessels called meridians and their related acupuncture points. By balancing and transferring energy we encourage the body to self-heal. This technique is aimed to clear up the cause of an ailment, rather then symptoms.
Lymphatic Drainage is a very specific technique which works with flat hands, and using all the fingers to simulate gentle, specific wave-like movements. These subtle manual movements activate lymph and interstitial fluid circulation as well as stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems.
The effect from this treatment is-

Profile
Rene’, is an ex-professional athlete in Ice Speed Skating from Germany, and has worked in Remedial Massage Therapy and Healing since 1993. From being an athlete he realized the benefits of massage and upon his retirement he decided to study and qualify as a massage therapist in Mainz, Germany. He has further studied other therapies and techniques which he incorporates in his clinic. He also teaches the Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel technique in Australia and New Zealand.
After immigrating to Australia in 1997, Rene’ has established a very busy, full-time clinic in Sydney.
Rene is a member of AMT- Association of Massage Therapists Ltd; International Association of Akupunkt-Massage according to Penzel; Lymphoedema Association of Australia.
