OSTEOPATHYOsteopathy is a system of health care which recognizes that the self-healing, self-regulating ability of the body is dependent upon a number of factors, including favourable environmental conditions (internal and external), adequate nutrition and normal structural integrity.
It utilizes generally accepted medical methods of diagnosis, as well as certain specialized ones developed to facilitate accurate structural assessment.
The body has inherent physiological rhythms that must be maintained as the basis for vitality of the organs, musculo skeletal, neurological and circulatory systems.
Osteopathy focuses on treatment of the physical body, the joints, muscles and connective tissue, with "hands on" techniques such as deep tactile pressure, stretching and manipulation.
This has several applications including treating muscular contractions following periods of immobility, increasing the quality and range of motion in joints after muscular strain or joint strain, breaking down scar tissue caused by trauma.
This, in turn affects the functioning of the whole body via connections with the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic system.
Osteopathy can help with the following conditions:

CLINICAL NUTRITION What is clinical nutrition and how can it help you achieve optimum health?
Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and the well-being of the body. More specifically, it is the science of nutrients and how they are digested, absorbed, transported, metabolized, stored, and discharged by the body. Besides studying how food works in the body, nutritionists are interested in how the environment affects the quality and safety of foods, and how these factors influence health and disease.
Clinical Nutrition is the scientific application of the old principle we heard as children; that "you are what you eat". Recognizing that the things we put into our systems on a daily basis " food, drink, medications, herbs, vitamins " effect our wellbeing, Clinical Nutrition can help lay the foundation for optimal physical and psycho-emotional health. Because Clinical Nutrition recognizes that we are all individuals with differences on many levels, a "cookbook" approach to health and healing is inappropriate: there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer. Clinical Nutrition recognizes that psycho-emotional, biochemical, environmental and lifestyle elements are all a parts of the unique puzzle of each individual. In the event of the development of disease or disability, Clinical Nutrition modifies the internal environment to facilitate the healing process. Through the use of everyday foods, supplements and lifestyle changes, Clinical Nutrition is an essential aspect of both disease prevention and wellness optimization.
When it comes to nutrition, many people take vitamins and herbs. Some may have heard about these supplements from family or a friend. Many may have learned through the news or a magazine. What many people are not aware of is that these supplements are not truly tailored specifically for their bodies. Only when recommended by a doctor or clinical nutritionist can the regimen of vitamins and herbs be successful. Also, many vitamins and herbs may be poorly sourced and/or processed, and may even be mostly synthetic.
The vitamins and supplements used are made mostly from whole foods. All are grown and harvested in nature without any type of refinement added to them. For example, an apple is a whole food and is naturally good for your health because it contains vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients. The vitamins and herbs prescribed are uniquely processed to keep all the nutrients from whole foods intact in a supplement made up of all natural whole food complexes. Humans metabolize whole foods collectively not one by one. Therefore, whole food nutrients work synergistically to achieve their biological effects.
"I believe whole food supplements, high quality herbs and a balanced diet can help you achieve optimum health."
We carry top of the line often organically grown whole food vitamins supplements and high quality herbs.
You individual profile is worked out by detailed history, which may indicate a need for further investigations such as:
Complete Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA)
Functional Liver Detoxification Profile (FLDP)
Salivary Hormone Profile:
Total Antioxidant Status
IgG Food Sensitivity Panels
Hair Mineral Analysis
and other tests if indicated.
These scientific laboratory tests are complementary to the clinical assessment and assist in tailoring an individual nutritional plan for you.
