At the Ashgrove Wellbeing Centre our mission is to improve your wellbeing using the best natural care available, with a high level of integrity and respect for both your healing process and you the individual.
Our clinic team comprises six experienced practitioners with specialty areas offering effective, time-honoured natural therapies.
The healing techniques of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, like other traditionaltherapeutic approaches is founded on the principle that internal harmony is essential for good health. Therefore our goal is to make all levels of wellbeing available to you and work with you to create the health and happiness you desire in mind, body and spirit.
Your Practitioners:Terry Hitzke
Terry has been in full-time practice since 1985 when he founded Ashgrove Sports Injuries Clinic. He has studied and lectured extensively and now has qualifications in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Nutrition, Sports Injuries Management, Structural Balancing, Counselling and Energy Healing.
Terry is a "health enthusiast" who is actively involved in running, mountain biking, touch football, skiing and surfing. He is also a keen organic gardener and believes that fresh, natural, chemical free organic foods are the cornerstone of health and vitality.
Terry's specialty is being able to use his 23 years of experience to offer a truly holistic overview of your health and help you facilitate profound changes in your wellbeing. He has extensive experience in the healing and management of sporting injuries and musculoskeletal pain. He also facilitates "Find Yourself in Nature" programs to help people identify what's important in life and allow their true nature to emerge.
Tony ThomsonTony brings over 19 years of natual therapies experience to the centre. He began by studying Acupuncture in 1984 and subseqently gained qualifications in many forms of massage, Structural Balancing, Nutrition, Sports Injury Management, AOK Fitball, Energy Healing and Neuro Emotional Techniques.
He has a core belief that our body has an amazing ability to heal itself if we allow it to come into balance and believes firmly in the centre motto "Improving your Wellbeing - naturally."
Tony Is a talented sportsman who represented Australia at the Seoul Olympics in his chosen sport of baseball. This passion for excellence is now expressed in his healing work at the centre.
Gigi MirtoGigi is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner who is available for treatments in the form of Traditional Chinese Massage and energy rebalancing techniques (An Mo Tui Na). An (to press) and Mo (to rub) refer to the pressure applied to selected points and the deep stimulation to the soft tissues, joints and meridians; Tui (to push) and Na(to pull) metaphorically refer to tonifying potential deficiences and reducing possible excesses. This ancient art is often called acupuncture without needles and is one of the fundamental aspects of TCM.
After leaving his native Italy Gigi lived and worked in a number of countries before settling in Brisbane.
He is available for Remedial or Oriental massage all day Wednesday and Friday, Thursday afternoon till late and some Saturday mornings.

Location
We are located in the Ashgrove West Shopping Centre below the West Ashgrove post office. Uur entry is 5 m to the left of the red postbox.
Undercover parking is available and disabled access is via the undergound car park. Please phone on arrival if you require disabled access.
