BICOM (Bioresonance, BRT) Therapy is best known for eliminating allergies and for reducing the symptoms of allergic disorders. In 1991, Dr Peter Schumacher, an Austrian paediatrician, published a study on 204 children showing over 80% success in managing allergic conditions . Later, the German gastroenterologist Rolf Oesterle found that using BICOM therapy to reduce the symptoms of food intolerance. Bicom Therapy is a biophysical technique based on concepts in acupuncture, homeopathy and quantum physics.
Today, the technique is almost mainstream in Germany, there are now over 10600 users worldwide and over 70 in Australia.
Whatever the illness, everyone has their unique signature of stressors and therapy is different in each case.
With BICOM therapy we first identify these stressors :
Biological - bacteria, viruses, moulds, pollens, food allergies
Chemical - pesticides, metals, food additives, industrial
Physical - X-rays, nuclear radiation, mobile phones, geopathy
Then, the painless, drug-free therapy neutralizes the stressors. As one patient put it, I felt as if I'd been walking around with a backpack full of pebbles. Each day another pebble was added. Now you've taken the backpack away!
If there is damage to the environment in the organism (because of faulty nutrition, stress, toxins or negative emotions), the body becomes imbalanced. It has no longer the possibility to withstand viruses and bacteria that are normally present. Harmful substances (virus, bacteria and their toxins, heavy metals and other environmental poisons) send out bad vibrations. They do not only act as dangerous substances in the body, but also energetically, i.e. by the special vibrations that radiate from them. Biochemical regulating and controlling mechanisms in the organism are subject to superior energetic control. Metabolic processes, hormone production, growth- and regenerating processes are controlled and coordinated in this way.
If the controlling processes are influenced by disturbing vibrations caused by harmful substances, we get misdirection and malfunction and as an end result disease. It was Dr. Morell's idea to erase these disturbed vibrations, or at least to weaken them to give the compromised organism a possibility to regenerate. The immune system would have a much easier job, and the self-regulation ability will be activated.
BRT works through the body's energetic system. This is the same energetic system you may have heard about from Chinese medicine, homeopathy, yoga and martial arts. All living cells give off energy as weak electromagnetic waves similar to brain waves used in orthodox medicine (EEG scans). Bioresonance therapy, using the BICOM instrument, to pick up electromagnetic wave from the patient or those of substances (foods, bacteria, viruses) for therapy. The BICOM separates these waves into harmonious (healthy) and disharmonious (unhealthy) components. The healthy signals can be boosted and sent back to the patient to strengthen normal functions, while the unhealthy signals are 'inverted' or turned upside down by an electronic mirror circuit before returning them to the patient through electromagnetic mats. What actually happens is more complicated but the 'inverted' wave cancels the harmful wave that was stressing the body's energetic system.

Methodolgy and Technology
An important way cells communicate is through electromagnetic frequencies. Cell researcher Bruce Lipton, PhD. reports that cells are 100 times more sensitive to electromagnetic information (signals) than to chemical information.

Environmental and stress induced toxins, heavy metals, dental materials, parasites, viruses, bacteria, scars, electro-smog, radiation, and geopathic stress produce foreign frequencies that disrupt our natural communication system. The body functions and regulates itself through communication and an exchange of information between the various cells in the body. According to bio-photon research, cells communicate with each other by means of “flashes of light” (photon radiation). They exchange information via certain frequencies. In a healthy body this exchange of information functions unhindered. Each cell or part of the body can fulfill its function.

Stress-induced influences or substances can
impede communication between cells.
When interfering substances (toxins, viruses, bacteria, etc.) or stress-inducing radiation are able to affect the body, they may impede communication between the cells.
Disturbed cell communication can result in organic changes.
If communication between cells is disturbed, this will of course prevent those cells from functioning properly and we see evidence of this to varying degrees through non-specific disturbed wellbeing, physical exhaustion, chronic fatigue and later through organic changes and related symptoms. Symptoms frequently occur where a weakness is already present, often genetic.

Stresses can be determined individually and precisely.
Extracellular fluid in the body not only provides the means for feeding cells, it also acts as a “hazardous waste depot” for stress-inducing materials if the elimination organs such as the liver/gall bladder, kidney, intestine etc. are overstressed. Since water is an optimum medium for storing information, the information from the stress-inducing substances is also stored here. This area is not easy to access using laboratory procedures.
On the biophysical level such stressors can usually be tested very quickly and painlessly. This is where the Bicom device can offer valuable assistance. Consequently, it is possible in many cases to discover which stresses are causing the patient to feel unwell (e.g. bacteria, viruses, electrosmog, environmental stressors, etc.).

The stressors, once determined, are treated using the BICOM device and the appropriate frequency patterns.
