Are you looking for gentle and effective RELIEF? A SAFE and NATURAL solution to your pain?
SERVICES What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy can provide you with a holistic approach to your health & wellbeing. We use many manual or 'hands on' type techniques to treat a variety of complaints but we also understand that there is more to fixing your problems than just a quick rub and crack....with our knowledge of biomechanics, ergonomics, health, diet, lifestyle & exercise we can identify and help you to address the actual causes of your pain for longer term relief.
How do we treat?
We will use lots of different 'hands on’ techniques to ease your aches & pains, including:
Massage & muscle stretching
Articulation to gently maintain joint range of motion
Muscle energy technique (MET) to ease your movement restrictions with gentle muscle contractions
We use joint manipulations when deemed to be safe & appropriate. We carry out manipulations with minimum force to maximize your movement
We can also use many other gentle techniques to help manage the effects of digestive, gynecological & respiratory disorders
What sorts of conditions can we treat?
We most commonly treat musculoskeletal complaints like:
Low back pain & sciatica
Neck pain & headaches
Arthritic & joint pain (shoulders, hips, knees etc.)
Migraines & tension headaches
Work related & repetitive use injuries
Pregnancy related back pain
We can also help manage the often far reaching effects of a range disorders, such as:
Digestive problems (gall bladder, gastric & bowel disorders)
Menstrual & gynaecological problems like period pain
Respiratory disorders like asthma & difficulty breathing
How else will we help you?
We want to give you more than just a quick fix so we will take the time to not only give you fast, targeted relief of your symptoms but we will provide you with all the care, advice, creams, sprays, exercise prescriptions & aids to help you really change your musculoskeletal health, speed up your recovery & get you back into the swing of life.
