FEEDBACK FROM ANN'S CLIENTS:
“I attended Ann for massage therapy to my neck in Feb 2006. I returned for further treatments because I found her so good. She was gentle and very professional in her manner. I have referred patients to her and have had very good feedback regarding her treatments”. Dr. A. V. (General practitioner)
“Ann’s work is very thorough. She quickly finds the source of the symptoms to give quick relief of pain while also giving long term benefits. I particularly enjoyed Ann’s explanations of what was happening in the muscles to cause the pain, and preventative steps I might take in the future. Thanks Ann”. – Sarah W.
“My husband went to see you the last hour for acupuncture and massage. He came home with a big smile on his face. He already felt less pain and more flexibility. You have such a wonderful healing touch”. Sarah B.
“Ann Le had treated my wife, my daughter and me weekly with therapeutic massage and acupuncture for more than two years until she left NZ. She is a very caring and skilful practitioner. She looked after my whole family’s wellbeing and we were very happy with her. We have seen so many therapists and it is hard to find a replacement of her work”. Gabriel T.
BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
Massage has been shown to be a treatment that lowers stress hormones, helps to relax your body and calm your mind.
Massage promotes circulation, respiration and digestion, and strengthens the immune system. It helps eliminate toxins in your body, and it delivers oxygen and nutrients to tissues and cells.
Massage can be used to heal a variety of ailments relating to the musculoskeletal system, reducing or eliminating pain, cramping and numbness.
Massage breaks down scar tissues and adhesions that form within damaged muscles.
It improves muscle tone, joint flexibility and range of motion.
It can effectively prevent and treat sports injuries. Use it before or after bushwalking, running, cycling, swimming, dancing, golf, tennis or gym training.
Accurate and effective stimulation of acupressure points and meridians can help free up energy blockages, improve the function of internal organs, increasing energy and rebalancing your body and mind.
Massage during pregnancy helps to reduce discomfort from back pain, cramping, swelling, varicose veins, tiredness, headache and anxiety. It allows you and your baby to be nurtured by the seeds of wellness and love.
TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are the main modalities of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which is a holistic medical system that has been practiced for thousands of years. TCM aims at treating the person along with the disease. This means that the practitioner looks at the patient as a whole and finds the imbalances that are causing the illness. As part of your TCM treatment, you will have a comprehensive consultation including medical history, a signs and symptoms analysis, and a pulse and tongue diagnosis.
ACUPUNCTURE
Treatment by acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into a few carefully selected acupuncture points on the body to regulate, rebalance, restore and unblock the natural movement of vital energies in the meridians, collaterals, organs and tissues. Modern scientific research has shown that acupuncture can also produce anesthesia for the relief of acute and chronic pain, without the adverse side effects of pharmaceuticals. Other conditions that can be effectively treated by acupuncture are listed below.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
After your consultation, a specific herbal formula which contains individual herbs will be prescribed. Herbal medicines are available as dried raw herbs from which you prepare your own herbal teas, or more conveniently as granules, capsules or concentrated pills.
