Taryn is a dedicated young health professional who is passionate about helping people.
She has worked alongside many different health practitioners including myotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and chinese medicine practitioners.
Taryn was also a volunteer at the FINA world swimming champions 2007 massaging athletes for pre and post events in which she thoroughly enjoyed.
A myotherapy treatment with Taryn involves a detailed history taking session, postural assessment and a range of orthopedic and range of motion tests, to obtain a good understanding of the patient's presenting problem.
SO WHAT IS MYOTHERAPY?
Myotherapy is the treatment of muscular aches, pains and dysfunction through a wide range of different techniques that only a qualified and registered Myotherapist is trained to do.
Myotherapy can help improve and restore range of motion of joints, strengthen muscles that are weak (i.e rehabiltation after trauma or surgery, postural problems, etc.) and most importantly, relieve pain that can impact so greatly in our everyday lives.
A Myotherapist is a Remedial Massage Therapist, with an extra year of training in subjects including anatomy and physiology, and learns more extensive techniques to heal the body and return to its normal state such as myofascial dry needling, cupping, TENS and more corrective exercise and stretching techniques.
