    Welcome to Spiraling Qi Clinic

I opened in 2005 as a sole trader with a honest, down to earth approach to your health and well being, to encourage clients to help in their own healing process by becoming aware of lifestyle choices, food, exercise, relaxation and meditation.
    It has easy parking access.

    • Tuina is a form of Chinese bodywork arising from Traditional Chinese Medicine. A treatment usually lasts an hour, questions relating to your health and well-being are asked, and then a treatment designed to your needs is applied.

    • Tui Na, Remedial massage and Acupressure therapy, uses pressure of fingers, palms or elbow. It is beneficial for muscular pain, stress, headaches, digestive problems and general health maintenance.

    • Qigong relaxation massage therapy, can leave you feel harmonized and relaxed.

    • Cupping is used by applying cups to the body. It aids in warming and promoting the flow of Qi and Blood within the system. It is mainly used for lower back pain, diarhoea, arthritis, anxiety and asthma. Nothing moves Qi and Blood faster than cupping.

    • Moxibustion involves the burning of an herbal stick above the skin to warm particular acupuncture points.

    • Qigong Classes for Pain & Stress Relief, using exercise and meditation.

    • Most Health Fund Rebates available

    • Gift Certificates available
Good health depends on a smooth flow of energy which requires mental, spiritual and physical balance. Illness is believed to begin when the energy flow is first disrupted, and can be affected by stress, shock and emotional factors. Looking after yourself, involves every aspect of life, such as: food, drink, work, exercise, relaxation, rest, sleep and play. All in moderation, a real test in life is learning how to deal with stress.

“You need to be able to control the stress you are experiencing instead of being controlled by it.”

    TUINA

    • Tui na is pronounced twee nah

    • It is part of an ancient system known as Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM that has evolved over more than 2,000 years. The others are Acupuncture, Herbs and Qigong. It is a system of diagnoses and a complete healthcare based on a wholistic understanding of our body, mind & spirit.

    • Tuina works on the same principles as acupuncture except that the hands and fingers are used, by using varied hand techniques its function is to stimulate the flow of Qi and Blood.

    • Comfortable clothing is recommended as you stay fully clothed

    • In a typical session, a fist time client will fill out a brief form, and I will ask a few questions relating to your medical history and what issues or concerns you wish to have addressed and then decide on a tuina massage treatment plan.

    • TCM view our body as an energy system made up of different interacting substances such as Qi/.Energy, Jing/Essence, Body fluids, Shen/Spitit.
Physical and mental exercises can be used to balance the elements in the human body and regulate the flow of Qi using Qigong, Tai Chi and Martial Arts.

As I teach and encourage Qigong learning I will focus on this.

My History of learning or practicing started in 1992, beginning with Yang and later Chen Tai Chi, I enjoyed this for many years but was interested to understand the benefits of Qigong in Tai Chi, and my focus has been on the self healing ability of Qigong exercise and meditation.

    QIGONG
    • Qigong is pronounced chee kung and is a Ancient Chinese Keep Fit Activity

    • Qigong is extremely useful for people of all ages

    • There are many styles of qigong all based on a common principle of balance, relaxation, harmony of the body, mind and spirit to improve health and enhance all aspects of life.

    • Practiced sitting or standing, wearing comfortable clothing.
      Promoting: Relaxation & Stress Reduction
Improving: Circulation, Posture, Flexibility, Balance & Strength.

    • It gently relaxes stiffened joints and increases circulation of energy throughout the entire body, without causing undue sweating or fatigue.

    • Qigong stimulates the immune system and is favorable for the healing of inflamed or degenerated tissue.

    • It has a calming affect upon the nervous system and is therefore beneficial for the treatment of anxiety, insomnia and depression.
“Through continued practice a tiny trickle becomes a stream which develops into an ocean of energy”

  • I was fortunate to travel to China in 2007 with a Qigong study group. Visiting a Bejing Hopitals Tui Na and Qigong Department, staying a few nights at a Temple on the Qincheng Mountain in Chengdu and visiting the Shanghai Qigong Research Institute.
