STEP INTO HEALTH provides and facilitates the ultimate in alternative medicine in a professional, caring and service driven environment. We are committed to uncovering the underlying cause of our patients illness- not just treating symptoms, so that total wellness can be restored. We strive to empower our patients to continue in their pursuit of knowledge so they may take on going control of their health and wellbeing.
Our wellness centre was established here in Carindale some eight years ago. Its central location, ease of parking and the convenience of a ‘one stop shop’ for all our patient’s health, beauty & wellness requirements has contributed to its continued growth.
The practitioners at Step Into Health are constantly updating their extensive reference and knowledge base so they can offer comprehensive treatment programs that successfully combine science with the latest in alternative medicine.
Who we are..
Maxine Wright
Qualified Naturopath – Iridologist – Herbalist – Nutritionist – Hemaview specialist – Clinician – Massage Therapist – ANTA registration no. 4226.
Maxine specializes in detoxification programs, metabolic syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and other digestive disorders, fatigue and sleep disorders, chronic degenerative diseases, handling menopause naturally, menstrual irregularities, weight loss programs, conception & healthy pregnancy programs and wellness programs.
Maxine is trained in lymphatic massage using a specialized technique that not only encourages the clearance of surface lymphatic tissue, but more importantly, the deep lymphatic tissue in the gut region. Maxine believes in the importance of not only feeling good, but also looking good (perhaps including a little indulgence that’s good for the soul) and is often busy pampering clients with facial & body treatments.
Maxine was responsible for the formulation & marketing of a nutritional range of supplements for an international company and over the years Maxine has traveled nationally & internationally to speak on health & nutrition. With her husband Laurie they owned & operated a highly successful health retreat in northern New South Wales
Liza McHugh
Qualified Naturopath, Iridologist, Herbalist, Nutritionist, Hemaview Specialist and Massage Therapist – ANTA registration no 4148.
Liza has spent the last 5 years practicing in Melbourne and New Zealand before moving back to Brisbane with her 2 young daughters. She specializes in women’s and children’s health, weight loss programs, detoxification programs and wellness programs. Liza is trained in Relaxation, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage Massage.
