Fertility
Fertility is one of those strange things – sometimes it seems as though those that aren’t trying (and sometimes don’t even want to) fall pregnant in a flash while you and your partner (who really, really want a child) struggle for years with no success. While there are no guarantees with fertility, you owe it to yourself to give it your best possible shot, to exhaust every possible avenue to help you achieve your dream. I work with you (as a couple or individually if you prefer) to explore what’s holding you back and to provide you with a natural, holistic approach to improve your fertility. We explore a huge range of potential barriers, including diet, nutritional status, infections, medications, toxicity, your overall health, hormonal imbalances and sperm problems. We also look at some of the more practical aspect like timing of conception attempts (you’d be surprised how often peoples timing is out), lubrication etc. I leave no stone unturned, I understand how important this is.
Natural fertility offers you and your partner the chance to positively influence your child’s health for life. That’s a pretty big statement I know, but it’s also a realistic one. Just imagine what life is like with these two very realistic scenarios.
You and your partner conceive after some months of trying. After a couple of months of morning sickness your pregnancy progresses more or less normally. Your reach 7½ months and think you’re on the home stretch when you’re suddenly hospitalised with pre eclampsia. After three weeks in hospital you go in to labour (a few weeks early) and fifteen gruelling hours and an episiotomy later, your baby is finally born. Your baby is a little underweight and has trouble sucking for the first two days, delaying the establishment of breast feeding, but things finally get on track and you take your precious baby home. Your baby is generally unsettled, his colic is particularly bad in the evenings (when you’re already exhausted) and he is damaging your nipples. Some years later, he is falling behind at school, he has trouble concentrating and misses lots of school through illness – you get the idea, I’m sure you’ve come across this before

At home your baby is bright and alert, she’s content during the day and sleeps well in the evenings. After 6 weeks she sleeps through the night.
