About me
I was a public servant for 18 years before doing my massage diploma. I knew that there had to be more to life. And I was right! I love what massage can achieve in just one session. It gives me great pleasure to have a client walk out the door feeling much better than when they walked in. Added to the massage I also have the privilege of having been attuned to Reiki Master.
As a fully accredited member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists, I continuously undertake further education each year to stay informed of the latest information about my modalities.
I am registered with all the health funds, so if you have extras health insurance, you can claim a rebate.
I also have full eftpos/credit card facilities
Your First Consultation:
Once you have completed the questionnaire, I will discuss your current issues and if necessary do a structural assessment. A treatment plan will then be suggested and if agreed to, treatment will commence. Your treatment will be tailored specifically for your situation.
Other methods of assessment and treatment can include energetic healing such as Reiki or Crystal healings. This will only be done if you are open to these therapies and happy to try them.

Because I will listen to what you want. - I have met many people that have been scared off massage by a therapist who has not listened to them. They were frightened to come back. I am happy to say that they soon changed their minds after a session with me. I listened to them.
You can see me in the following ways:
• Come to me at the Lakes Natural Health Centre (Mon – Fri 9-5, Sat 9-12)
• I can come to your home – I just need enough room for my table and chair and a little bit of room around me (by appointment)
• I can come to your workplace with my chair or table (by appointment)
• I can come to your next work conference and do seated massages at the back of the room (by appointment)
What I do:
Relaxation Massage
A Relaxation massage is great for someone who has never had a massage before. It introduces them to the experience of touch and how it all works. There are many benefits of having a relaxation massage as opposed to a Remedial massage. It will be gentle and soothing inducing a feeling of deep relaxation and calm.
Remedial Massage
When you come to me for a Remedial massage, you get a mixture of relaxation and remedial strokes. I can do a structural assessment before I start, but generally I can tell from what you tell me what I need to work on. I will only go as deep as you can tolerate. I will not go harder than that because when you tense up it just negates any work I do. I will include a range of stretches during the treatment. These will help effect the muscles to stretch, lengthen and “switch on”.
Pregnancy Massage
When you have passed the first trimester you can benefit from regular massage right up to the birth. The difference in the sessions are that there will be lighter strokes than usual, certain areas of the body will not be touched, and you will be lying on your side in the later months. The benefits of having a massage while pregnant are:
• Relieve sore back, neck and shoulder aches and pains
• Reduce swelling around the feet
• Increase circulation
• A feeling of relaxation
Hot Rock Massage
There are two ways to have this type of therapy.
1) Just hot rocks or
2) With hot and cold rocks. This is the chinese method utilising the ying and yang energies to assist with the therapy. This type of session takes 1 ½ hours to complete.
These types of sessions are extremely popular in winter as you can imagine, so for either of these therapies, at least 24 hours notice is required prior to the appointment. Unfortunately it can only take place in the clinic and not at your home, UNLESS, there will be more than one person having a session.
Reiki
Reiki is a natural form of healing therapy. It is applied through non-invasive gentle touch. This form of therapy aims to increase energy levels and promote relaxation and wellbeing. Reiki can contribute to a person’s wellbeing by making them feel:
• Relaxed
• Peaceful
• More energetic.
Reiki will not cure illnesses or disease but it may help your body to heal itself. Reiki can do no harm. It is not a religion; there is nothing you have to believe in to use or receive it. Reiki aims to release the body’s energy flow.
In general, a session will involve the following:
• Me placing my hands on or just above your body in a sequence of positions.
• Unlike massage, a Reiki treatment does not involve any form of physical manipulation.
• You do not need to remove any clothing and no private parts of your body are touched.
• During the treatment you may feel warmth or cold, a tingling sensation, slight twitching or a rumbling tummy, or you may feel absolutely nothing.
• A complete session can last from 60 to 90 minutes.
Chakra Balancing
Chakra balancing is based on the ancient Indian belief in a series of seven chakras, or energy centres. Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel. These energy centres are located at specific points between the base of the spine and the top of the skull. Each chakra relates to particular organs of the body, ailments, colours, elements, and emotions. Chakra balancing can promote health by maximizing the flow of energy in the body. I use a “pendulum” to assess each chakra to see which ones are blocked. I then use various methods to unblock them.
Crystal Healings
Crystal healing is the use of crystals to bring about healing and positive changes in the mind and body. It is an alternative healing technique for strengthening the body and resolving issues and patterns using various crystals. Crystals carry vibrational energies. By placing these vibrational energies within the aura - the aura's vibrational rates also change. Often the effects are indirect, but very potent. Other times, the effects are very direct and repeatable.
• Crystal Healing promotes well being of the mind, body and spirit creating inner peace.
• Crystals assist in bringing the emotional, mental and physical bodies back into balance as it creates transformation, awareness and profound healing on all levels.
• Connect and open to the vibration of love as you allow yourself to open to the magic of the energies of the crystal kingdom.
I use a whole range of crystals that I have personally chosen for my healing sessions. After each session they are cleansed of the energy they pick up from each client, ready for the next session.
