Ka Huna Bodywork
Ka Huna massage is also known as Hawaiian Temple Style massage or Lomi Lomi and it originated in the South Pacific. For many centuries the Kahunas (the wise spiritual teachers of ancient Hawaii) worked with a magical form of bodywork that gently but effectively connected with the inner soul, relieving the stress of physical ailments, as well as clearing emotional blocks.
In this unique flowing style bodywork the practitioner uses long, fluid rhythmic strokes over the whole body with the hands, forearms and elbows.The practitioner moves around the table in a dance like movement applying soft and deep tissue massage. The strokes sometimes goes from the neck all the way down to the knee. The massage is a full body treatment that includes the beautiful underbodywork, where the bodyweight of the client helps the practitioner to go deep in the muscles when arms are used between the client and the table.
Heartworks Lomi Lomi
This massage is a very nurturing, heart opening type of relaxation massage. Just as the KaHuna this is a flowing technique where the practitioner is working with movements towards the heart with hands, palms and also with kneading and circling movements. It is an excellent massage if you are looking for lymphatic drainage.
