What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is an effective, safe and gentle method of cleaning the colon (large intestine), in order to eliminate accumulated waste and toxins from the bowel. Warm water is gently introduced into the colon at a low, safe pressure. This procedure usually lasts 40 – 50 minutes and the client will generally feel revitalized and clear headed after their treatment.
Why do I need colonics?
The benefits of colon hydrotherapy are enormous. Colon hydrotherapy is a way to correct IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), bloating, gas and eliminate constipation. It helps to re-tone and reshape the colon while gaining more energy and a flatter stomach. Our diets are often high in mucus forming foods, and processed foods which can create layers of sticky plaque and faecal matter on the colon walls. These release toxins which can be reabsorbed back into the bloodstream causing a wide range of different health problems.
What are colonics good for?
Fatigue, Flatulence, Irritability, Protruding abdomen, bad breath, body odour, weight problems, brittle hair and nails, depression, headaches, skin problems, swelling legs, high blood pressure, lower back pain and abdominal tenderness or discomfort can all be helped by colonic hydrotherapy
Are Colonics safe?
Yes. As a trained therapist-conducted treatment, the insertion is in expert hands, the water flows in at low pressure and there is no danger of perforation. All equipment used is disposable, so there is no risk of cross-infection.
Although some of friendly bacteria are expelled during treatment, they quickly breed back up to strength, and the environment after treatment is usually better than before, thus leading to a better balance.
