Active Birth ~ Prenatal Yoga Workshops for Partners
These classes offer a wonderful opportunity to practice prenatal yoga with your partner, mum, best friend, or birth assistant. Experience with your partner the many ways yoga stretches and breathing practices will assist to bring you comfort during pregnancy and prepare you for childbirth. These classes focus on the yogic techniques that contribute to active labour and birth.
Suitable for first-time parents or as excellent refresher classes, these classes are held in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time for individual attention. These classes are incredibly popular and I'm very glad to be able to offer them each month. Come to one or book in for two or three to gain real benefit from practicing some wonderful yoga for active childbirth.

Yoga for Pregnancy & Active Birth Weekends at King Parrot Retreat
Nestled at the foothills of the Otway Ranges and less than two hours drive from Melbourne (half an hour from Lorne) is the King Parrot Retreat Centre. Set in 200 acres of bushland and rain forest, accommodation features gorgeous architecturally designed, self-contained cottages.
These weekend retreats are a wonderful opportunity to practice prenatal yoga with your partner. Experience the many ways yoga stretches and breathing practices will assist to bring you comfort during pregnancy and prepare you both for the challenges and joys of childbirth. Classes focus on the techniques that contribute to active labour and birth.
The yoga classes are held in a relaxed, lighthearted atmosphere. The emphasis will be on making the teachings of yoga for active birth very accessible and relevant. In between classes, there will be plenty of time to snack, rest, relax, take in the glorious bush setting and most importantly to simply spend time together. Delicious meals will be prepared through out the retreat, with special dietary needs happily accommodated.

Restorative Yoga Weekends at Clearview Retreat
Ninety minutes north of Melbourne, Clearview Retreat backs onto the Tallarook forest and ranges, with immense views 100 kilometres across to Mount Buller and other spectacular mountain ranges. Clearview is located on 90 acres of bush with bluegums, a tea tree forest, grasslands and majestic granite rocks.
If you would like to try a more heart-centred approach to yoga - this retreat is for you. Classes will be structured around classical Hatha Yoga, with some essential refinements to give you time to cultivate calm, lift your spirit and leave city life behind.
These classes are designed to make the teachings of yoga accessible and to give you the tools to take your experience from the retreat, into your homes and daily lives.
Uplifting yoga sessions will be balanced with time for relaxation, meditation, bush walks. Class sizes are kept small and students of all levels of experience are welcome. Home-cooked, delicious, inspiring vegetarian meals are included, with special diets happily accommodated.

A birth attendant compliments your birthing team by offering continuity of support to you wherever you choose to birth, be it in your home, maternity hospital or birthing centre.
It’s in the continuity of care from a woman experienced in the process of birth, a stable and known presence that birth attendants create an intimate holding circle of support for you and your partner. From here your birth attendant will provide reassurance and perspective to gently guide you through the emotional, physical and psychological challenges of labour.
By engaging Nina as your companion in childbirth, you will be gifting yourself with the support of a compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced woman by your side supporting and honouring your journey through childbirth into parenthood.
