Our Practice
Coorparoo Podiatry Centre is a purpose built practice designed to incorporate modern technology to provide the best treatment available for optimal foot health.
Coorparoo Podiatry Centre is a fully computerised practice with computerised records and appointment books to maintain an efficient practice with effective communication with General Practitioners, Specialists, Allied Health practitioners, workplace managers and other referrers.
Coorparoo Podiatry Centre is equipped with four individual consulting rooms each with fully electrohydraulic treatment couches. One consulting room is fully equipped for minor surgical procedures to allow ingrown nail and verrucae(wart) surgery to be undertaken.
A biomechanical assessment room has a long walkway and a treadmill with multiple video cameras connected via computer to allow thorough analysis of gait (walking) patterns from various angles. A computerised gait analysis system – Silicon Coach is used to analyse gait and store videos for future reference and documentation for referrers.
A casting area is incorporated to allow the Podiatrists to accurately capture the “corrected” position of the foot for customised orthotic devices to be made. We prefer to use a plaster impression technique to allow us to position the foot in the best position. This also allows our Podiatrists to choose from a large range of materials for the manufacture of custom orthotic devices. We can prescribe orthotic devices in soft materials, more firm materials or a combination of both with padding that is fully customised to suit our patients needs and footwear requirements.
An orthotic, insole and footwear workshop room has been incorporated into Coorparoo Podiatry Centre to allow our Podiatrists to manufacture customised soft insoles, adjust customised orthotic devices, add padding to footwear and stretch or modify footwear to provide a full range of treatments.
A fully equipped sterilisation area allows Coorparoo Podiatry Centre to ensure patients that Australian Standards are maintained regarding the sterilisation and packaging of all instruments.
