Kevin Taylor, the Crabtree Healing Centre Clinician, is an accredited provider for Private Health Funds, Workers' Compensation and Accident Compensation. He has formal qualifications in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and Buteyko Breathing Reconditioning. In private practice since 1987, Kevin has added to his decades of experience by constant upskilling and research. Musculo-skeletal pain: Kevin is very experienced in treating all types of pain associated with muscles, joints and nerves. This includes - but is not restricted to - such conditions as back pain, neck pain, sprains, sciatica, arthritis, headaches, migraines, neuralgias, spasms, post-stroke pain and pain from traumatic injuries. Kevin offers acupuncture as well as his own form of therapeutic massage drawn from Swedish, Chinese and Shiatsu techniques. While faster, more comprehensive and profound results are derived from using massage immediately following acupuncture treatment, each of these methodologies are available on their own if required.
Womens health and hormonal rebalancing forms a major part of the Crabtree Healing Centre's clinical practice. Kevin has valuable contacts with co-operative doctors who are prepared to share results of pathology tests and other investigative procedures to support a wholistic approach in dealing with all women's health issues. These include menstrual pain and irregularity, Pre-Menstrual Syndrome, uterine bleeding, endometriosis, fertility issues, post-natal depression, breast-feeding difficulties, multiple miscarriages, fibrocystic breasts, bad pap smear results, pre- and post- menopause symptoms.
Stroke recovery is an area of increasing client interest in Kevin’s practice. Kevin uses a specialised form of acupuncture as a treatment that gives profoundly accelerated and enhanced post-stroke recovery, provided the stroke is relatively recent. However, very good results are possible for strokes with a longer history. Speech impairment, swallowing reflex impairment, loss of writing ability, mental confusion, paralysis, numbness and pain are symptoms that have responded quite remarkably. Kevin often incorporates specific forms of movement therapy applied during acupuncture treatments. The sooner treatment is sought, the more effective is the recovery. In the case of clients seeking help within the six weeks after a stroke, clients frequently see and experience the progressive return of movement and feeling from the first treatment. In most cases, further improvement of symptoms continues with successive treatments.

Unlike many other Buteyko practitioners, Kevin provides the majority of his Buteyko clients with one-on-one training.
