Holistic Counselling ~ What happens in a counselling session?
Holistic Counselling, is about you, all of you.
Your feelings, your perceptions, your beliefs, your attitudes, your pain, your soul and your spirituality. At innerShe our Holistic Counselling also encompasses your womanliness and your feminine being, which includes your whole body not just your incontrol mind.
Using a phenomenological approach (which means that I work with your perspective and view on reality), I will support you to allow your bodys wisdom to lead your path to healing. We will work gently, deeply and most of all compassionately.
To express and explore your emotional body we may also use artistic therapies (which could include movement, sound, gesture, colour, claywork, dance and watercolour painting), family constellation sessions, relaxation techniques & visualisations and body-based processes.
Loving kindness and transformational processes mixed with skills that you can apply in your daily life is what innerShe Counselling is all about. I can help you.
About Elizabeth:
I passionately enjoy working with people. That plus the yearning to make a difference in this world, has led to my career in counselling. I also have a fascination for emotional deep water, its intensity and its clarity.
Life Line, peer counselling, working with school age kids, teaching English to migrants, caring for intellectually and physically disabled babies & teenagers, teaching computers to remote country women and supporting families with children with cancer have all been the experiential training behind my counselling skills.
My formal qualifications come from the innovative body-based Holistic Counselling of Sophia College and training with Yildiz Sethi in Bert Hellingers Family Constellations. My passions are womens psychology, body/mind medicine, how love flows through generations, female perspectives of sexuality & intimacy and motherhood as a Spiritual Practice.
At this time of my life Im dancing to the rhythm of mother, daughter, business woman, wife and friend. ~ I am a step mother to two and mumma of two of our own, married to my best friend.
