About Paulina
Paulina is the owner of Pacific Island Massage Therapies.
Most clients are international or interstate people who find her through friends or business associates. Her total wholistic approach combining modern techniques with Traditional Island Therapies is unique in Australia.
Paulina has been massaging since she was ten years of age. Her family have been Faith and Massage Healers in the village of Lomanikoro, Rewa in Suva Fiji Island, for five generations. The gift brought to the village from Fortuna/Wallis Island (Polynesia) in 1841-1842 by 17 yr old Suliano Teuke. His great-grandson Abaramu Sogotubu Buatava (Paulina's grandfather) passed this gift to her when she was a young girl. Arriving in Australia in 1973, Paulina continued to massage anyone in need including terminally ill patients. One of the highlights of her life was attending a meeting in 1996 with the Dalai Lama. She felt the message that he was giving that day, was directed at her. She then decided to complete tertiary qualifications and start her own full time practice with the intention of using the gift that she was blessed with.
