Welcome to Alison Keane - Educating In MindfulnessMindfulness is a way of being in the present moment, in a specific way, and just noticing what arises in the mind without judgement and as open-heartedly as possible. When we get good at doing this through lots of practice and guidance from a mindfulness teacher we are better able to cope with difficult relationship issues, health issues, and painful moods such as anxiety and depression. And we can then experience and enjoy the pleasant, joyful and fantastic things that happen as they're happening.
I teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) an eight week course to show people how to use mindfulness, breath awareness, meditation and gentle movement in their lives as a way of managing stress in the short and long term.

About Alison
Alison is a psychotherapist, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) facilitator and hatha yoga teacher. Alison teaches hatha yoga classes day and evening, and to private students. Alison studied MBSR under the direction of Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn in northern California.
