SERVICES
At Kumbada Studio, Alison Cassidy offers classes in both Hatha Yoga and Creative Dance.
Yoga: Hatha Yoga classes at Kumbada are of ninety minute duration and flow seamlessly and creatively rather than following a rigid and predictable sequence. The classes begin with thirty minutes of deep relaxation (savasana), followed by breathing (pranayama) and postures (asanas). Music is used to enchance the experience and each class balances the more dynamic with the more subtle. The aim of each class is to help students achieve lightness clarity and peace.
Beginners: Beginners are welcome into all classes. This egalitarian approach is deliberate. The more advanced students inspire the beginners and a strong supportive group dynamic is the result. Students are given a variety of options and can develop at their own level - for beginners, there is accessibility, for the more experienced students, there is always challenge.
Creative Dance: Creative dance is improvised dance. Each dance experience is unique. Music, creative designs and props are used to guide students sensitively towards self-expression. Classes are offered for adults and children from toddlers to teenagers. The childrens' classes also include Yoga and relaxation.
