What happens when you make an appointment
The initial consultation is an hour long. I will take a detailed health history which includes your presenting problem, diet, physiological systems and lifestyle factors. This is necessary as we need to identify the reasons for your illness and how best to treat it .
I'll then select the appropriate herbs and essences for you and provide you with suggestions on what you can do in your daily routine to improve your health.
Depending on your condition, acute problems are usually resolved within 1-2 visits. Chronic conditions ( something you may have had for months or years) require several weeks to several months of treatment. Pre-conception care generally needs 3-6 months. However, in the majority of cases, you should start to feel better within a few weeks of beginning treatment.
Every person presents with their own particular set of problems. For example, two people suffering with fatigue may have totally different reasons for it so they would require different treatments. What I do is find the best solutions to address your unique circumstances.
The main medicines you will receive are organically grown herbal teas and flower essence drops. Flower essence therapy is extraordinarily effective for mind and body healing while herbal teas have been used for centuries to treat illness and restore health. Both are precisely tailored to individual requirements and the formulas change over time as your body recovers and you become healthier.
Your second appointment is usually booked for 2-3 weeks time, and the session is typically 30 mins long.
Reiki sessions are also available here as some clients find it incredibly stress-relieving. These appointments are for an hour.

After losing our first baby, my husband and I saw Helena Fernandez before trying to conceive again. Helena was great : empathetic, kind, gentle and encouraging. She showed us how to change our diet and our outlook, and supported us with herbal tonics, flower remedies and understanding during a four-month preconception program. I have been suffering from mild to severe depression for approximately 20 years and have been on a low dosage of anti depressants for approximately 15 years.
Last year I started to experience symptoms of irritability, mood swings, insomnia and hot flushes. My doctor put me on a very low dosage of estrogen (I did not need any progesterone as I have had a hysterectomy).
