Our method of Chiropractic, called the Gonstead Technique focuses on being as specific as possible with the examination, finding the cause of the problem, fixing it and then leaving the area alone to heal.
At the initial consultation, a thorough history and examination is performed to determine if your problem is a Chiropractic one, and also to locate specific areas of reduced mobility. It is this loss of normal joint biomechanics impacting on the nervous system that creates the symptoms you feel. Chiropractic treatment is then applied to restore the normal movement and to reduce the nervous irritation.
The goal of the Gonstead practitioner is to "do the least to achieve the most". That is to say, the least amount of segments to be adjusted with the least amount of force the least amount of times. Our aim is to get you better as quickly as possible.

Catherine is a herbalist and an occupational therapist who has worked in the public health service for over 14 years. Her background working in hospitals and community health means she is in an ideal position to combine the traditional principles of natural medicine with modern understandings of disease processes.
Catherine has specialised in the use of herbal medicines to treat the underlying causes of illness while relieving symptoms. Herbal medicine encourages the body’s innate capacity to heal itself and is ideal in the treatment of a wide range of health problems as well as illness prevention. Catherine also uses iridology, flower essences, dietary changes and lifestyle strategies to assist in developing an individual treatment plan for every person.
Catherine is involved in the research of psychosocial treatments for mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. She is registered with Medicare to provide ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and is currently registered with NHAA (National Herbalists Association of Australia), ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists association) and OTA (Occupational Therapy Australia).

Massage
Massage may be used to treat a variety of conditions from inducing a state of relaxation to pain and injury management. All of our massage therapists have completed at least a two year advanced diploma in massage therapy.
There are numerous massage styles available at Body & Health Creation including:
• Relaxation massage: designed to soothe those tired and aching muscles, inducing a state of relaxation. Ideal to help unwind after a strenuous day.
• Deep tissue massage: more intense than a relaxation massage aiming to get to those deep set muscle aches and pains releasing all the stress that has been building for a while.
• Remedial massage: aimed more at injury treatment and prevention, remedial massage focuses on a smaller area of the body aiming to maximise recovery.
• Sports massage: Pre and post event massage can be aimed at loosening the body and increasing your range of motion to maximise your results, or it can be used to minimise your recovery time, helping the body overcome the rigors of the event.
• Pregnancy massage: Pregnancy and post-natal massage are performed by a therapist with specialist training in the pregnant and immediate postnatal body. Recommended to ease some of the aches and pains caused by the pressures of pregnancy. A pregnancy pillow is available for your comfort.

All of our Massage Therapists have 2 year massage qualifications (Diploma of massage or above), have membership or accreditation of a recognised Massage Association and can provide Health Care Rebates.
