About Me:
As a Naturopath I deal with internal health problems, metabolic disorders and imbalances, through treatment of the whole person - you! A range of diagnostic techniques are employed to assess causative factors, and treatment may involve dietary changes, herbal medicine, homeopathy, bodywork (remedial massage) or nutritional supplements.
Please realise that health is far more than waiting until you get a disease, then choosing a drug to suppress it, or surgery, radiation or ‘wait and see’ (however appropriate these measures may be in the circumstances).
To a Naturopath it is unhealthy cells that lead to disease - disease does not cause unhealthy cells. This is an important distinction. You contract a disease because you are sick. Not, you are sick because you have a disease. It is the modern emphasis on disease rather than health that is the essential difference between general practice and traditional medicine.
In my practice I utilize natural medicines that can complement (or sometimes even replace) orthodox treatments. Medicines that have been shown in published clinical trials to be the equivalent of pharmaceutical drugs in their action but without many of the potential side effects. These world-class medicines are not available over the counter but only from qualified and accredited practitioners.
