Revolution Pilates studio provides a unique approach to fitness and well being
SERVICES
Welcome to Revolution Pilates
Combining experience in The Pilates Method of Physical and Mental Conditioning, Gyrotonic® and other movement techniques, we strive to design challenging programmes tailored to your needs and abilities.
Anyone can do it!
A revolution in fitness, this is a multi-discipline approach that anyone, from 10 years old to the elderly, can benefit from. Some of those persons benefiting include:
General health and fitness - Develop a lean body shape, improve flexibility and range of movement.
Back and neck pain sufferers
Sports persons and Performers - Help fine tune performance. Actors and singers benefit from the increased fitness without unnecessary muscle bulk or tension.
Pre and Post Pregnant Women
Arthritic complaints - Maintain joint mobility and muscular support.
Business people - Stress relief; improve back and neck problems aggravated by the office environment.
Osteoporosis - Non-impact, variable-load exercise builds strength and bone density.
'Older' Age Persons - Work at your own pace to improve posture, mobility and strength.
The Pilates Method is recommended by physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors who in particular value its approach to Core Stabilization, recognized as of prime importance in the care and prevention of back pain. Gyrotonic® is new to Australia, but used throughout the world for developing freedom of movement, strength and mobility, featuring in many rehabilition centres in Germany.
How do you begin?
Just give us a call to make your first appointment. Beginning with your Initial Assessment, you'll learn the use of breath and your abdominal centre to create fluid and pain-less movement; visualization techniques to improve body awareness; create new, more efficient habits of movement; improve posture, flexibility, strength and muscle tone; and have fun!
Our studio is fully equipped, private and tranquil. All sessions occur under a high degree of supervision (either one-on-one or in small groups of no more than three students) ensuring safety and faster results. We also offer discounts for multi-visit purchases and Concession rates for Seniors and full-time students.
Who Are We?
Revolution has developed a reputation among the local Pilates, Complimentary Health and Medical communities for safe, quality instruction and compassionate rehabilitation technique.
Most of our clientele come from word-of-mouth or referrals from our colleagues in the medical profession. Revolution runs WA’s only APMA-registered Level Pilates Instructor Course and has established a reputation as the preferred course for the serious Pilates Instructor. Most studios in Perth and surrounds have Revolution-trained instructors on their staff.
The Best Studio
Every studio has a special soul and energy that is a reflection of the owner and the staff. It has to have the right mix of expertise, comfort, and supportive environment for you to feel encouraged and safe. We are proud of our studio, both its ambience of quiet reflection, and the environment, which encourages exploration and change. We are dedicated to the health of our clients, to helping you on your health journey.
The Best Instructors
We have the best qualified, committed, compassionate and eager instructors in the industry. Our owner, Neil Nabbefeld is an APMA Level 2 Practitioner Member (over 13,000 hours of teaching practice) and has a Certificate Diploma in Pilates-Based Movement Therapy. His interests lie in the rehabilitative and movement therapy applications of the Pilates Method, Gyrotonic® and other modalities such as Body-Mind-Centering©. All of our instructors have backgrounds in similar areas, as well as dance, massage therapy, fitness, and physiotherapy. We each have our own specialties and interests, such as working with the disabled, pregnant women, and the aged, or the sports applications of Pilates. Our instructors have a minimum 2-year apprenticeship experience and Pilates Method education before being allowed to work as full staff members. They are required to have their own Professional Indemnity/Public Liability insurance policies and Senior 1st Aid certificates.
They are also actively engaged in regular continuing education and are encouraged to become full members of the APMA.
Professional Referral
We work closely with our clients’ Health team in order to provide the best possible care. A properly qualified Pilates Method instructor is not required to be a physiotherapist and in many cases is more highly trained to teach movement and exercise prescription.
