  • What Is An Exercise Physiologist?

    Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) are University qualified allied health professionals who design and deliver exercise interventions for a wide range of acute and chronic injuries and disease states.

    AEP’s are trained in preventing the onset of disease through exercise and lifestyle modifications. They provide post –acute exercise rehabilitation and have extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the scientific delivery for chronic and complex medical conditions. AEP'S also focus on improving functional capacity and changing beliefs and behaviours.

    As an AEP, Ryan can assist with your physical activity options including treatment for post-acute injuries, health and lifestyle modifications, the treatment of chronic diseases or managing your gym and/or home based exercise program.

    Exercise and rehabilitation programs can involve Pilates exercises, gym programs, swimming, home based exercises and walking. Any activity that increases heart rate and that is enjoyable can also be considered as part of your individually tailored program.

    Rebates are available by a growing number of Private Health funds for Exercise Physiology including MBF, HCF, Grand United, Australian Unity, CBHS, SGIC, NIB, Reserve Bank Health and Teachers Federation Heath. More health funds rebating soon for exercise physiology, please visit regularly for updates

    Please check with your health fund if you are eligible for a rebate with your level of cover.
