What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy or ‘Nature Cure’ is a method of healing that employs various natural means to empower an individual to achieve the highest possible level of health.
What is a Naturopath?
A naturopath is someone who has been trained in the philosophy, principles and practice of herbal medicine, nutrition, iridology, massage and homoeopathy, as well as in the medical sciences. Naturopaths look at you as a whole person when assessing your condition, taking all factors into account such as medical history, medication, lifestyle, diet etc. They aim to try to find the underlying cause of the condition, not just treat the symptoms only. Most often treatments involve herbal medicine, nutrition, massage and counseling, all of which have extensive evidence and scientific trials on their use. Our Naturopath also uses homoeopathic medicines, Hair mineral analysis and iridology with blood, urine and zinc status tests to aid the treatment process.
What if I am taking medications?
Our Naturopaths are trained to the highest possible standard and are aware of potential interactions. Your treatment plan would be devised around your existing medication and remedies selected so they would not cause any harm to you.
Can I see a Naturopath if I am seeing a Doctor?
Yes
Naturopaths work solo or in conjunction with your existing health care practitioners such as your Doctor, to give you enhanced health and wellness.
When you visit…
You will have a private one on one consultation with the naturopath who will ask questions and get to know you. Your blood pressure, height, weight, iris scan, zinc status test and a few other basic physical examinations will be taken to further help in gathering information of your condition.
An individual treatment plan will then be devised with you and you may be required to take herbal, nutritional or homoeopathic medicine to help you with your condition.
