About Guy Clews
I graduated from the NSW College of Natural Therapies in 1982. The college later became the Australasian College of Natural Therapies and at the time was considered to be the premier natural therapy college in Australia.
As important as my academic background is over 20 years experience in dealing with a wide range of problems. A very significant number of the people I see have chronic problems and/or health issues that don't fall into a western medicine disease category, which are however affecting their daily quality of life.
Therapy Process
A consultation begins with me getting a list of the symptoms that are troubling you, and a brief health history and that of your family.
Then we do a systems review, which gives me information about various areas of your health such as nervous system, gastro-intestinal tract, respiratory etc. This will give me a more complete picture of your general health which is as relevant as the particular symptoms you are concerned about.
Stress levels are discussed. I use iris diagnosis and blood analysis to identify underlying organ, glandular and tissue dysfunction. Nutrition is always discussed because of its obvious relevance to your health.
From this information I am able to get a better understanding of the cause of problems, and therefore, can apply the correct treatment approach.
Therapies used include nutritional advice, vitamin and mineral supplements, herbal medicine allergy detection or perhaps massage and Bowen Technique.
The goal of this consultation process is to gain an understanding of how to change health patterns and avoid problems recurring. In practical terms that means you should finish the process with advice about your nutrition and nutritional supplements so you can enjoy better health in the future.
This process takes approximately 45 minutes.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
My qualifications are in Naturopathy and Botanical Medicine which means I am a naturopath and herbalist.
I worked in Willoughby (Sydney), prior to coming to Canberra in 1984 and began working in Kingston in October that year.
My 4 year education and training included the science subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Clinical Diagnostics, and Physics. It also included Nutrition (3 years), Herbal Medicine (3 years), Iris Diagnosis, Massage and Clinical Practice.
