The Consultation may be conducted as Counselling or Non Disclosure, which is when I don’t need to know
the intimate details of your problem, - only help you deal with it through hypnosis.

I am a professional Hypnotherapist and success coach with a caring and committed approach to healing.

What is Hypnosis?

  • Hypnosis is a very pleasant, relaxed state of mind and body.

  • It is similar to sleep in some ways, but different in many ways eg;
The mind is more receptive in hypnosis than when awake.

  • During this receptive state, positive, constructive suggestions are presented,
to help the patient adjust to and overcome a problem and initiate beneficial changes
    in behaviour.

  • Almost anyone who wants to be hypnotised can be hypnotised.

  • Hypnotherapy is pleasant. beneficial and a very safe modality.

  • It is drug-free and has been practised for hundreds of years,
despite misconceptions and lack of understanding in some quarters.
(Contra-indications are extremely rare and may require a referral from a medical practitioner
    or a neurologist.)

    Common Questions

Q - Can anybody be hypnotised?
A - Most people can be hypnotised. Exceptions include people with Schizophrenia and anyone with a diagnosis of Psychosis or Grand Mal epilepsy should obtain a referral from their neurologist.

Q - How many sessions will be required?
A - Depends on the complexity of the problem.
We are all individuals, and so it is not possible to say in advance, how many sessions a patient may require. Problems such as stress, phobias, chronic pain and habits, like smoking or overeating, can often be treated in 3 or 4 sessions. Problems of a more complex nature might require additional work, however the goal is complete the work in as few sessions as possible.

Q - Are there any physical effects?
A - There is usually a lowering of the blood pressure during hypnosis and the pulse rate may slow down.
Most people achieve deep states of relaxation of the body as well as the mind.
All bodily functions return to normal when the trance state is concluded.

Q - Will I be able to hear what suggestions are being made?
A - Yes. Hypnosis is not a sleep state, even though the client may appear to be asleep, the conscious mind is still aware of what is happening and retains control. It sometimes happens that a person whilst in hypnosis may fall asleep and the therapist will be able to awaken the subject whilst maintaining the trance state.

Q - How long does a consultation take?
A - The first consultation may last a bit longer than later ones.
Clients should allow at least an hour for a session.

Q - Is hypnotherapy covered by Medicare?
A - Hypnotherapy is not a medical procedure and so is not covered by Medicare.
Clients that have private health Insurance with top cover and ancillary benefits should check with their fund.

    Q - Do I need a referral?
A - A referral is required for the treatment of epilepsy.
Patients that have been receiving treatment for diagnosed mental illness, may also need to provide a referral.

I look forward to seeing you, and assure you of my professional and sincere care and concern for your total wellbeing.
