Reflexology is a holistic healing technique and as such, aims to treat the individual as a whole, incorporating mind, body and spirit with the object of inducing a state of balance and harmony.
Reflexology is based on the principle that all parts of the body are mapped on the feet and hands. Pressure is applied to these reflex areas on the feet or hands using specific thumb and finger techniques causing physiological changes to take place, as the body’s own healing potential is stimulated.
The application of Reflexology helps alleviate the effects of stress and tension by inducing a state of relaxation, thereby allowing the nervous system to function normally and empowering the body to find its own state of balance and harmony.

Vacuflex Reflexology
Vacuflex Reflexology originated in Denmark in the early 1960’s. It was developed to its present level in South Africa by Inge Dougans in the mid 70’s and was first available in Australia in
1998..
Vacuflex Reflexology is a two-part treatment involving Reflexology and Acupressure.
Firstly, felt boots are placed on the feet and the air is removed creating a vacuum, which stimulates all the reflexes relating to the body. When the boots are removed, marks and colours are left on the feet for approx. 20 secs. indicating areas of congestion in the body.
Secondly, pads are placed on specific points along meridian pathways on the legs and arms in order to facilitate the free flow of energy and release the blockages that create illness.
Results from treatment depend on a number of factors including the duration and severity of the condition and one’s general health and age. Generally, the earlier the treatment is sought the more likely a rapid improvement will be experienced.
Reconnective Healing

Bowen Therapy effectively addresses musculo skeletal conditions, sporting injuries, digestive and respiratory conditions, organic and glandular complaints and general stress and tension.
A Bowen move affects the muscle stretch and Golgi tendon reflexes as well as joint proprioceptors in unique and paradoxical ways. This has the effect of reprogramming tension levels in the affected areas of the body.
Bowen Therapy strongly effects the autonomic nervous system - the sympathetic branch of this prepares us for ‘fight or flight' while the parasympathetic is more associated with healing, relaxation and meditative states. During a session, people will often experience a mixed response while the two systems mesh and recalibrate.
