Apricot oil is used when massaging as it is a fine oil that nourishes and hydrates your skin. It has a high Vitamin E content that aids skin elasticity and suppleness.
Depending on the clients requirements essential oils can be added which will help muscular pain, stress, relaxation etc..

Every day people are using Massage Therapy to relieve stiff joints, insomnia, headaches, back pain, muscle overuse, chronic pain, sprains and strains, stress, tension and sports injuries.
Few doubt the effectiveness of Massage Therapy. It's just a matter of deciding upon the BEST treatment for YOU!

Remedial Massage:

This is a firm massage which assists in the repair of muscular and soft tissue problems. Using skilled techniques to treat specific musculoskeletal problems and injuries. This form of massage is ideal for sore, tired muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Is a stronger massage that rebalances the muscles and connective tissue. Using techniques such as friction, deep strokes and trigger points. It assists in the prevention of "overuse injuries".

Sports Massage:

Deeper specific treatment aimed at relieving post-event pain and stiffness and muscle soreness. It is also very beneficial in the maintenance of muscle condition and the breakdown of scar tissue. This form of massage is ideal for sports people.

Swedish Massage:

This form of massage is systematically working of the soft tissue and muscles to create a state of relaxation. This is ideal for your first massage as it relaxes and soothes away the stress and strains of the body.

Seated Corporate Massage:

It seems common sense to implement a means of stress relief in the workplace.
Having professional therapists come to your workplace may just be the answer you are looking for.
A seated massage can take your colleagues from feeling frustrated, lethargic, anxious and stressed, to feeling calm and relaxed.
It enhances the productivity of the whole team, which enhances the bottom line!"

What is a Seated Massage?

Seated Massage brings therapeutic massage to your place of business. The therapist provides a specially designed chair and a session lasts anywhere from about 15-30 minutes. There is no oil or lotion used. The massage is done with the client fully clothed and concentrates on the shoulders, neck, arms, hands, head and back.

Hot Stone Massage:

Hot Stone Massage dates back thousands of years. The application of heat to the body and the relaxing effects this has on muscles and the nervous system has been recognized by numerous ancient civilizations. Hot stones help to relax and heal your mind, body, and soul. The therapeutic stones are famous for their magical heating properties.
A Hot Stone Massage uses a variety of different shaped & sized stones to massage the body in a firm, rhythmic sequence using long flowing strokes. This is a full body massage, beginning with the feet and legs and concluding with a pressure point scalp massage.

With the application of heated granite stones and soothing cool marble stones, the therapist uses a combination of Specialized Massage techniques that bring about a therapeutic response within the body and skin. Warm granite stones are used to glide across the body to soothe the nervous system, warm the tissue and help “melt” away tension built up in those tight muscles. The cool stones aid in clearing toxins, decongesting the skin and revitalizing the body and mind.

Stone massage works to increase the circulatory system and the lymphatic flow, speeding up the flow of blood to a given area so every cell can benefit from extra nutrition. The lymphatic flow is improved and increased which speeds up the flow of toxins to be removed and expelled from the body.

Each of the stones has been hand carved to the perfect size and shape – some have rounded surface for acupressure purposes – making them perfect for deep massage treatment. The stones also vary in size, from fairly small stones for the face and toes, to larger stones for the back and legs.

The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along the spine, or in the palms of your hands, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body and give a truly therapeutic and wonderful feeling.

Indian Head Stone Massage:

Indian Head stone massage works on the physical, mental and subtle levels. It is a specific therapy for the head, neck, shoulders, upper arms and upper back. Therefore, it covers the vulnerable areas where we are most likely to suffer from stress and tension. It applies the principles of the ancient art of Head Massage and Therapeutic essential oils and Stones.
A seated Indian Head Massage using heated and cold stones to relax and tone the muscles in the back, neck and scalp, promote clarity and dissipate mental fatigue.

ScenStone Facial Treatment:

Relax, unwind and float away to a state of bliss. Heated stones are used in a firm rhythmic massage sequence. The stones release their healing energies deep into the muscles, dissolving any stress and tension, creating the ultimate sense of relaxation.
Stone Massage is a wonderful way to relax, de-stress and re-energise your body. Massage instils a profound feeling of well being with cold stones that work on the lymphatic drainage system, which assists in releasing toxins within the muscles and restores flexibility.
There are two very different facials one using a combination of lymphatic drainage movements. The other is a total relaxing massage with hot stones followed by cold stones to stimulate and detoxify, then the hot stones are used for circulation and relaxation.

Holistic Massage:

Working with Wildflower Essences which can enhance our inner well being by helping to resolve negative emotions, thereby encouraging positive qualities to emerge.

Aromatherapy:

This technique uses essential oils that are blended for your individual needs for a specific problem or just for relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage:

Most Mum's-to-be realize very quickly the high demands pregnancy places on their body and how essential it is to be nurtured at this time.

Massage during pregnancy relieves the tensions and discomfort caused from the extra weight and the shift in your body's centre of gravity; it also reduces swelling, calms the nervous system.

During pregnancy your whole body is adapting to the new life growing within you and you will face many significant life changes. Your health and vitality have never been more important than it is right now. The physical changes of pregnancy can be stressful and a soothing massage will loosen tight muscles and calm the nervous system. It increases circulation, carrying energy producing nutrients to your cells and eliminating metabolic waste products that can cause fatigue.

Results you may expect to notice include:

  • Reduction of fluid retention.

  • Relief of headaches caused by stress, excess toxins and constipation.

  • Relief of muscular and joint pain caused by supporting extra weight.
With pregnancy massage you will be comfortably supported with pillows and cushions, and during the later stages of your pregnancy you will enjoy a complete massage supported on your side.
Remember that it is as essential to care for yourself in the postpartum weeks following the birth of your baby as it is during your pregnancy. Massage assists in the healing of your body by increasing circulation, promoting relaxation and gently coaxing your body back to its original shape.

Benefits of Massage:

Massage is one of the oldest forms of healing. Both the ancient Greeks and the Chinese used it thousands of years ago.

Various studies have reported that remedial massage reduces acute and chronic pain, increases muscle flexibility, reduces post traumatic headache, relaxes muscles, alleviates stress and depression, decreases blood pressure and heart rate, increases mental awareness and positively stimulate the immune system.
Massage also stimulates the lymphatic system, which is responsible for nourishing cell and carrying waste products out of the body.
