What is Bio-Energetic Medicine/Electrodermal Screening?
Bioenergetics is the field of biology that involves the study of energy. In particular, the interactions of living organisms and electromagnetic fields at an atomic, molecular and cellular level. Every process that happens in our body uses or creates energy. Bio-energetic medicine allows the practitioner to capture what is happening with the body even down to the cellular level.
The computer system used is the LISTEN system. The system draws upon concepts and methods used in Eastern and Western Medicine and utilises Chinese Medicine knowledge, which identified meridians within the body that are energy pathways. Variations from the norm can indicate if there is an energy imbalance within the body. Your practitioner can determine these imbalances using the Listen system and then use this information to determine the appropriate treatments which will stimulate the body's energy system to rebalance and heal itself.
The energy measurements are taken with a probe that is applied to the meridian points on the hands and feet. Approximately 25-30 measurements are taken during a standard consultation, which will include such areas as the immune and nervous systems, adrenals, liver, kidneys, skin, stomach and large and small intestines, to name just a few. The energy readings are then captured on computer for analysis by your practitioner and provide a benchmark for measuring recovery.

The initial consultation usually takes approximately one hour, at the end of which a comprehensive picture of what is happening in the body will be obtained. Follow up testing, which takes approximately 30 minutes, is also done to monitor progess as the body rebalances and repairs.
